SPE Symposium: Hydraulic Fracturing in Russia: Experience and Prospects

7-9 June 2022

Multistage Path to the Future

Hydraulic fracturing has been the most popular technology for production uplift for several decades now and has recently been enhanced by more application of multi-stage hydraulic fracturing, which is responsible for rapid growth in the hydraulic fracturing segment. Experts have noted an increase in the volumes and number of stages being applied with multi-stage hydraulic fracturing and see great potential for the technology with the development of lower permeability, unconventionals, horizontal wells and side-tracking.

We will focus on new and relevant trends in hydraulic fracturing, talk about companies' experiences over the past two years, discuss hydraulic fracturing specifically in our country, and cover all aspects of hydraulic fracturing: from research, modelling and lab tests, software, to re-fracturing, fracking in complicated conditions, multistage HF, equipment and import substitution.

Why a Symposium?

The Symposium format allows participants to discuss all these issues with key experts, in lively and interactive discussions, and at the same time allows the speakers to publish the technical articles in the largest E&P electronic library – OnePetro®. Or not to publish at all, if a company would prefer not to widely share sensitive data.

Call for Papers is Now Open

If would like to submit your abstract, please send it to Irina Merkul

Topics for Discussion:

  1. R&D for Hydraulic Fracturing
  2. Hydraulic Fracturing Case Studies: from Pilots to Integrated Projects
  3. Refrac and Hydraulic Fracturing in Extreme Environments
  4. Equipment for Hydraulic Fracturing, Import Phase-Out, Economic Aspects

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship support helps offset the cost of producing symposiums and allows SPE to keep the attendance price within reach of operations-level individuals, those who benefit most from these technical workshops. Sponsors benefit both directly and indirectly by having their names associated with a specific symposium. While SPE prohibits any type of commercialism within the event hall itself, the society recognizes that sponsoring companies offer valuable information to attendees outside the technical sessions.

If your company is interested in sponsorship opportunities, please contact Irina Merkul
