More Than 900 Industry Experts Took Part in the 2016 SPE Russian Petroleum Technology Conference and Exhibition

The seventh SPE Russian Petroleum Technology Conference and Exhibition took place on 24-26 October 2016 in Moscow, gathering over 900 oil and gas industry professionals including more than 500 delegates from the largest production and service companies, research institutes and universities. Many NOCs and IOCs took part in the exhibition as exhibitors, including Tatneft, Halliburton, KCA Deutag, Rock Flow Dynamics, Roxar, Targin, TGT Oilfield Services, Resman, NewTech Services, EPAC-Service, OZNA, DrillScan and others.

SPE Russian Petroleum Technology Conference gathered more than 500 delegates from the leading oil and gas companies. The 2015 event differed from the previous ones with the extensive technical programme of 22 technical sessions compared to the traditional 18 sessions.

The conference programme included 3 panel sessions, where the attendees listened to the presentations delivered by industry experts from the key industry companies: Rosneft, Gazpromneft STC, Statoil, Total, Schlumberger, Gubkin University, Skolkovo and many others.

SPE Petrophysics XXI: New Challenges Workshop

6-7 June 2016
Peterhof, Russia

The 4th SPE Petrophysics Workshop was a great success. The results are seen in the nu,bers of the participants and the diversity of the companies attended: 100 industry specialists from 40 companies, including Rosneft, Gazprom neft, NOVATEK, LUKOIL, Surgutneftegaz, Bashneft, Tatneft, Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, CGG Vostok, research institutes and others. 50+ topics were submitted, the technical programme included 25 presentations, 3 lectures presented by oil and gas industry experts, 20+ poster presentations.

SPE/EAGE Modeling in Action: Synergy of Practice and Theory Workshop

Programme Committee chaired by Mars Khasanov of Gazpromneft STC, Vitaly Baikov of UfaNIPIneft and Gennady Sarkisov of Roxar has decided to run the fourth SPE/EAGE Modeling in Action: Synergy of Practice and Theory Workshop on 29-30 March 2016 in MoscowDuring the two-day workshop 26 presentations were delivered by the speakers from the leading industry companies, including Gazpromneft STC, NOVATEK, Yandex Data Factory, Rosneft and Lukoil, Bashneft, Schlumberger, Beicip – Franlab and others.

SPE Enhanced Oil Recovery Workshop

25-26 February 2016
Moscow, Russia

SPE Russian and Caspian Advisory Committee chaired by Vladimir Mulyak, LUKOIL, and Gokhan Saygi, Schlumberger, decided to run a workshop on EOR. Workshop on this subject took place in Russia for the first time and was scheduled on 25-26 February in Moscow.

The workshop was opened by the plenary sessions that gathered the well-known industry experts: Alexander Shandrygin (DeGolyer and MacNaughton), Alexander Yakovlev (Gazpromneft STC) and Igor Shpurov (GKZ).

SPE Waterflood Management Workshop

2-3 December 2015
Tyumen, Russia

About 20 technical presentations on geological and hydrodynamic modelling, on theory and practice of waterflood management, about waterflooding of heavy oil pool and other operational issues. Round table discussion of water quality and injection by Shell, BP and Russian operating companies appeared to be very timely and important, as participants said.

SPE Annual Caspian Technical Conference and Exhibition

4-6 November 2015
Baku, Azerbaijan

On 6 November 2015 ended the three day Annual Caspian Technical Conference and Exhibition. Over 500 industry professionals took part in the event.

The conference consisted of 12 technical sessions, 36 oral papers, 25 poster sessions, and 3 panel sessions.

SPE Digital Field Management Workshop

We held the SPE Digital Field Management Workshop on 2-4 June 2015 in Peterhof, Russia.  

The intent of this workshop was to explore ways of what a concept of the “Digital Oil-field” might mean for the (Russian) Oilfield practice (development, operations, optimizations), examine the techniques and solutions for data collection and management, provide grounding in various hardware aspects and many other relevant topics. The SPE workshop was chaired by Oleg Umshaev, Gazpromneft NTC, and Andrey Gladkov, Modeltech.

SPE Carbonates. New Frontiers Workshop

30-31 March 2015
Moscow, Russia

SPE held workshop "Carbonates. New Frontiers" on 30-31 March 2014 in Moscow.

Chaired by Alexander Gavura, LUKOIL-Engineering, the workshop covered a wide range of topics including carbonate oil and gas reservoirs geology and modelling, development, drilling and stimultation. In an open discussion on "Petrophysical and geomechanical core analysis"participants shared their experience and knowledge of such questions as core parameters prediction, special types of core laboratory tests , etc. 

About 60 participants took part in the workshop. They represented oil and gas and service companies, universities and research centres, including Rosneft, Lukoil, Gazprom, Halluburton, Bashneft, Lomonosov Moscow State University, etc.
